ORCHARD JUICE and ice cream parlour has opened an outlet in Adyar. They serve a variety of refreshing juices including Crimson Dawn, a combination of pomegranate and grapes, Sidekick, an orange-pineapple combo, Saddam's Favourite, a date milkshake and more. French fries, sandwiches, pizzas, burgers and snacks are also available. Prices range from Rs. 20 to Rs. 75. A month-long `Get one free with every order of three' introductory offer is on at present. Orchard's Heaven-in-Adyar outlet is at 124 L.B. Road, Adyar. Orchard's other outlet is at 344/144 Royapettah High Road, near Luz Corner, Mylapore, ph: 24670673.
Handicrafts
An exhibition-cum-sale of wooden handicrafts, bell metal and brass items, handloom garments and jewellery, "Indian Crafts Festival", has been organised by Kairali, the Handicrafts Development Corporation of Kerala. A 10 per cent discount is offered on all items and the sale is on till August 17, 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. at Best Seller Hall, 43/1 Besant Avenue Road, Adyar.
Exhibition
Kutch Bandhej is having an exhibition-cum-sale of hand-made bandini cotton salwars, satin finish cotton, crepe and traditional Gajji silk of Kutch. Also on display are handmade embroidered bandini sets, Kutch handprints, lehangas and dupattas. The exhibition is on till August 15 at the Gatsby centre, 26, C.P.Ramaswamy Road, Alwarpet.
