A new career?

Yuvan Shankar Raja... making peppy music

ARNOLD SCHWARZENEGGER, the California Governor-in-waiting and India's most popular action hero, has delivered this year's biggest Hollywood hit in India, "Terminator 3" (T3) which is also a huge success in Tamil Nadu.

According to Appu Singh, Regional Manager of Columbia Tristar in Chennai: "T3" is doing bumper business in India and it is Arnold's biggest hit here. The film has earned Rs. 4.7 crores in the opening weekend across the country out of which Rs. 2.8 crores came from the southern states of Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh and Kerala."

Appu Singh feels that they have successfully leveraged the brand equity Schwarzenegger has in South by dubbing it in regional languages.

Now exhibitors in Madurai and other interior areas are trying to sell the film by saying that it is Arnold's last film appearance, as he is likely to be the Governor of California. So is it curtains for our favourite hero who always says — "I'll be back" as he starts a new career as a Republican politician?
