SRIPERAMBUDUR: Quality education

A VARIETY of courses, sprawling campus and state-of-the-art facilities are the buzzwords when it comes to engineering colleges and technical institutes. Maamallan Institute of Technology aims to provide just that. Started by the Maamallan Educational Trust in 2001, the college offers four undergraduate courses— Computer Science and Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, Mechanical Engineering and Information Technology, recognised by the All India Council for Technical Education. The college is affiliated to Anna University.

Maamallan Institute of Technology is located on a sprawling 70-acre campus on the Chennai-Bangalore highway. The three blocks, the main block, mechanical block and the electrical block, house different faculties for the students.

The institute provides opportunities for extra curricular activities and hosts as well as participates in inter-collegiate competitions.

Hostels with Internet facilities are available for outstation students and college buses, covering all parts of the city, provide transportation for day scholars.

The trust also provides scholarships for meritorious students and rank-holders from the Tiruvellore and Kancheepuram districts. The college also accepts lateral entry candidates into the second year of education.

Maamallan Institute of Technology is located at Maamallan Nagar, Vadamangalam, Sriperambudur Taluk, Kancheepuram District. For admission information and other details, contact the college at 04111-263682 or administrative office at 23621819.
