Back to action

AJAY DEVGAN, one of the finest actors in the country, is back to playing an action hero in "Qayamat" releasing this Friday. In fact, it was films like "Phool Aur Kaante" which made him a star many years back and now it is the same Harry Baweja who has directed the film.

"Qayamat" is said to be `inspired' by the Hollywood film, "The Rock", and Ajay plays the role made memorable by Sean Connery. He is a mentally disturbed con man who must get together with the good guys, a cop and a scientist to save Mumbai from a nuclear explosion! Neha Dhupia, the sensational Kochi-born ramp model, plays Ajay's love interest. She makes her screen debut in "Qayamat" along with glamour girls Riya Sen and Isha Koppikar. The villains are Sanjay Kapoor and Arbaaz Khan, but the surprise element in this action movie is the foot tapping music by Nadeem-Shravan.
