Holistic healing

The hour-long meditation session to receive the synthesising forces of life, for self and planetary uplift at the Taj Krishna was a rejuvenating experience for all who participated.

PLANETARY PEACE: People meditated on `Om'

MAY 16 for many is a day of supreme spiritual impact. On this day it is believed, the forces of enlightenment, which emanate from God, flow into human consciousness. Irrespective of religion, caste or creed, people worldwide get together on this day and meditate in silence to receive and assimilate divine energy.Such an intensive effort to receive the forces of life, was witnessed at the lawns of Taj Krishna on Friday morning. Guided by the recorded voice of the founder of Pranic Healing FoundationWorldwide, Master Choa Kok Sui, an expert in Wesak meditation technique, more than a hundred people meditated on Om. The `Wesak' festival is not a commemorative celebration but rather a present, living event, a sacred ceremony that takes place every year when the Buddha, the proponent of Wesak meditation, is believed to return to bless his people everywhere and to convey the message of wisdom, light and love."At this time, it is as if a door stands open between the spiritual and humanity that can make possible great expansions of consciousness, which is impossible at other times of the year. We can each prepare ourselves during the month of May for an intensive holy month of accelerated service. Today's cooperative effort in Hyderabad and the world over is to increase the receptivity of humanity to the higher auras of energy to heal the self and the planet," says Sashidhar, President of Pranic Healing Foundation, Andhra Pradesh, who was conducting the meditation session.

During the Wesak festival, group meditation helps tap the free-flowing energy, which is at the peak for about four-five days during the period, he adds.

GREAT INVOCATION: Group meditation helps tap the free-flowing energy.

The Wesak festival is essentially a five-day period at the time of the Taurus full moon - the two days preceding the full moon, the day of the festival itself, and the two succeeding days. The exact hour of the full moon is a high point of the spiritual year, particularly because at that moment the sun and the earth stand in direct, unimpeded alignment and the energy (chi) flow is at its zenith. It is highly recommended for people who meditate to be aware of their inner silence so that they can assimilate more of the "life-force" in the next three or four days and use the extra energy gained to bless mother earth so that nature is rejuvenated.

"Pranic Healing believes that human beings are the instruments of the divine. The spiritual energy gained during this time should be used for personal development - peace, harmony, progress, prosperity and spirituality. The balance `power' should be let out for planetary peace. It is in giving that we receive," adds Sashidhar continuing the Om chant.

SHOWING THE WAY: Master Choa Kok Sui

And as hundreds chanted the Omkar mantra, the lawns of the Taj seemed to reverberate with an uncommon resonance even as an aura of divine calm encased the area. Some claimed to have trapped the divine energy while it was elusive for most during the hour-long rejuvenating session.
