Chandamama for tiny tots

CHANDAMAMA JUST got a whole lot younger. The popular children's magazine publishers have brought out Junior Chandamama for toddlers and tiny tots. The book is brightly coloured and full of stories, games, activities and of course, the host of friendly characters that make reading Chandamama such fun.

Baba the bunny, the mascot of the regular Chandamama magazine, is around to "introduce" you to the new kids on the block — Wiz Biz R the wizard, Nutty the creative genius, Gooba the owl, Astronaut Ari, Cheenti the ant and Mintoo the jungle boy, who take the kids through all kinds of stories and puzzles, while teaching them loads of interesting facts and values. The magazine also has brief India-centric features.

Designed in the inimitable Chandamama style, the simple fun activities strengthen kids' language and basic maths skills and teach them to identify objects, numbers, colours, plants and more. Each of the "characters" explains different concepts to the kids — Mintoo the jungle boy introduces the kids to a different member of the animal family every month, Wiz Biz R the wizard teaches basic art.

The magazine has puzzles, stories and riddles that the kids can either get through on their own or with the help of parents or obliging older siblings.

Chandamama, now in its 56th year of publication and published in 12 languages, is also available in a bi-lingual edition, "Ambulimama", in Singapore.
