Back with bang

Dispelling all doubts about his new releases, actor Dileep is back with a bang. His latest film "Meesha Madhavan'', according to industry sources, has opened to packed houses all over the State. Dileep fans in the city have also welcomed the Lal Jose directed movie. Meesha Madhavan has once again brought back audiences into theatres after a dry period caught in controversies. It has also cleared doubts that Dileep films will receive a jolt following the actor's duel with producer Dileep Panicker over the "bounced'' cheque issue. For Lal Jose, the film is a soother since his much discussed but less watched "Randam Bhavam'' failed to click. This time the director tells the story of a thief in Chep village. Ranjan Pramod who penned the script for Randam Bhavam follows the success formula of films riding on comedy tracks. Meesha Madhavan looks more like a Tamil film with songs shot in picturesque locales and exciting visuals. S.Kumar who mapped the beauty of Ootty in "Kilukkam'' once again proves that he is one of the best cinematographers in the industry. Vidyasagar scores music for the film. Songs appear in regular intervals. Barring a few numbers, others are loud and fail to hold the attention of viewers. There is nothing new and outstanding in the film but Lal Jose clicks as he ends the long drought in the Malayalam film industry.

The director is one of those talents with promise. He had already proved it in films like "Maravathoor Kanavu'', "Chandranudikunna Dikkil'' and Randam Bhavam.
