Vegetarianism

VEGETARIANS often point out that it takes a lot less water to cultivate food crops, than it takes to raise livestock and poultry for the dining table.

They point out that livestock and poultry need to consume plants for several months at a stretch, before they're ready for slaughter.

However, food crops only need to be cooked before consumption.

A host of essential vitamins and minerals, that are vital for good living, come from cereals, grains, leafy vegetables and tubers alone.

Soyabean meets the "animal protein" requirements, without anyone having to resort to animal or bird slaughter.
