Aesthetically refreshing computer centre

NIIT's largest centre which opened in New Delhi.

FLAMING ORANGE, sunflower yellow, parrot green and jet black are just some of the colours which provide an atmosphere of "vibrancy'' at information technology pioneer NIIT's newest and India's largest computer education centre, which opened at South Extension II in New Delhi recently.

The use of bright colours is aimed at providing the centre, which has come up on 12,000 square feet and is equipped with 12 computer labs and 300 computers, an "aesthetically refreshing look''.

Overall, the centre boast of a contemporary look which would integrate the counselling and aptitude testing area with a student services area that includes touch-screen Internet kiosk, a library and a cafetaria.

With computers emerging as the `coolest' career option in an MTV survey done in six Indian metros on 15 to 24 year olds, the head of NIIT's eduction business, Pradeep Narayanan, says "the centre will cater to the diverse IT training needs of different segments''. NIIT has also introduced new products like CareerEdge that goes with the aspirations of today's youth seeking any career.
