Video show on Semmangudi

A programme based on the video clippings shot when Semmangudi Srinivasa Iyer visited the house of veteran vainika Vidya Shankar has been organised at Raga Sudha Hall on August 3, 4 p.m.

The vainika invited him home and felicitated him on his 90th birthday. The video shows the doyen being received with purnakumbam to the accompaniment of the nagaswaram recital (recorded) of T.N.Rajaratnam Pillai and Vedic chanting. He is then adorned with a garland of vilva leaves.

The picture shows leading personalities such as Lalgudi Jayaraman and Vellore Ramabhadran seated on the floor. Felicitation is followed by a speech of Semmangudi, translated into English.
