IDA festival

The IDA (International Dance Alliance) is celebrating its 23rd anniversary on July 24 and 25 at the Naradha Gana Sabha, which is an associate in the programme.

Twelve dance groups, six on each day, are presenting “Vande Guru Parampara.” Two gurus — Adyar K.lakshman and Ranganayaki Jayaraman — will be honoured on July 24. Nalli N. Kuppuswamy Chetty will preside and A.R.Natarajan will be the guest of honour.

The participating groups are Uma Muralikrishna, Rajeswari Sainath, Urmila Satyanarayanan, Lavanya Sankar, Ramya Ramnarayan, Binesh Mahadevan, Padma Murali, Hari and Chetna, Prakriti Bhaskar, Kavitha Ramu, Pramila Ramesh and Parvati Ravi Ghantasala.

Admit cards are available at the auditorium from today (July 18), 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
