Rs. 20 lakhs goes missing?

HYDERABAD June 13. A businessman, Sanjay Kumar Agarwal, on Thursday lodged a complaint that Rs. 20 lakhs cash was stolen from his garments shop located in Asmathgunj of Koti.

According to him, the shop worker, Hari Om, and his relative, Deep, found the shop shutters broke open this morning when they went to open it. The cash counter was also found open and an amount of Rs. 20 lakhs missing, he stated. The case is under investigation.

RBI staffer held on stealing charge

The Saifabad police on Thursday arrested an employee of Reserve Bank of India, D. Sudhir, on charges of stealing Rs. 1 lakh from the bank.

The RBI officials lodged a complaint that Rs. 1 lakh was found missing from the currency counting centres of the bank two days back.

The police, during searches in the bank premises, found two hundred currency notes of Rs. 500 denomination in the cash drawer of Sudhir. He was arrested and remanded in judicial custody.

Carpenter dies in wall collapse

A carpenter, Md. Yousuf (19), was killed and another injured in a wall collapse at Riyasathnagar on Wednesday night under Santoshnagar police station limits. The victim was a resident of Edi bazar.
