The MCH Commissioner, Chitra Ramachandran, in a press release on Thursday said the civic body would help institutions raise and maintain at least 100 plants by providing the technical know-how plus free transport of the saplings. Singapore team visit
A 30-member delegation from Singapore representing the Building and Construction Authority visited the MCH office on Thursday and interacted with the Mayor, T. Krishna Reddy, and the Commissioner. The 26-member team led by Koh Lin Ji, senior manager for economics and resources department, discussed matters about improving the construction quality and productivity to the levels comparable to those in the developed nations. The delegation, consisting of architects, engineers, quality surveyors, material specialists, horticulturists and others, was on a `business' mission till June 14. They were expected to meet developers and landowners to understand their requirements and the real estate scene. The team was all praise for the clean and green environs of the city, a press release said.
