Three kids electrocuted

TIRUPATI June 12. Tragedy struck two families of cops today at Srikalahsti when three of their wards were electrocuted when they came in contact with a high tension overhead wire as they were playing on the terrace of their house.

Information reaching here said that the tragedy occurred when Chandrakala, the 9-year-old daughter of the Srikalahasti (Rural) S.I, Murali, came in contact with the high-tension cable when an iron rod she was reportedly playing with accidentally fell on it. The other two kids -- Dinesh Reddy (9) and his sister, Deepthi (7), both wards of the Srikalahasti Town SI, Rajagopal Reddy, also perished when they fell on Chandrakala.

A pal of gloom hung over the police quarters where the tragedy occurred.
