New Air Speed Record

A report dated 13th from Montreal in Canada said that a British Overseas Airways Corporation Stratocruiser had claimed a new record for a non-stop flight from Prestwick Airport (Scotland) to Montreal in 10 hours and 33 minutes. The previous record set up in 1950 was 11 hours and three minutes.
