One killed as parcel bomb explodes

MUMBAI APRIL 14. The watchman of a jewellery shop in Bandra, a suburb here, who was injured in a parcel bomb blast this morning, died of injuries in the evening.

The bomb exploded when the watchman attempted to open a packet. Police said an extortion note addressed to the shopowner demanding Rs. 6 lakhs was found at the site.— UNI
