Hospital to extend services to rural areas

HYDERABAD April 14. The Mahavir Hospital and Research Centre, run by the Bhagwan Mahavir Memorial Trust, which is celebrating its silver jubilee on Mahavir Jayanthi Day on Tuesday, is now set to extend the same focus to rural masses with no access to quality medical care.

Addressing a media conference, Chairman of the Trust and Mahavir Hospital and Research Centre, Shantilal Daga, said here on Monday that community centres would be opened at Moinabad, Tandur, Chevella and Pargi in Ranga Reddy district. An ambulance would be pressed into service on Tuesday at Moinabad.

The community centres to be manned by qualified MBBS doctors would serve as outpatient units to the 300-bed general hospital being set up by the Trust at Vikarabad under the Mahavir Institute of Medical Sciences. The hospital would be dedicated to the people in July.
