BCCI's consultants and coaches

KOLKATA APRIL 10. The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) on Thursday announced the names of the overall-consultants, coaches and dates of the various camps of the National Cricket Academy and its zonal wings.

The BCCI president, Mr. Jagmohan Dalmiya, who headed a day-long meeting of the NCA here, said that the man to head the NCA will be decided soon after the working committee — scheduled to meet later this month — makes a decision on the fate of the current national coach, John Wright.

The president also informed that there would be additional camps for under-15 and under-17 age groups to give them extra preparations for the ensuing World Cup and Asia Cup respectively.

Zonal Cricket Academy camp: Under-19: April 21 to May 31

National Cricket Academy camps: Under-15: May 1 to 30; India A: June 1 to 30; Under-21: July 1 to 30; Under-17: August 1 to 30.

NCA camp coaches: Under-15 & Under-21: Lalchand Rajput (batting), B.K. Venkatesh Prasad (bowling), Rajesh Kamath (fielding). India A & Under-17: Lalchand Rajput (batting), Madan Lal (bowling), Rajesh Kamath (fielding).

Zonal camp coaches: North: Madan Lal (in-charge), Gursharan Singh, K. Bhaskar Pillai; South: Robin Singh (in-charge), W.V. Raman, A. Raghuram Bhat; East: Ashok Malhotra (in-charge), Dattatreya Mukherjee, R. Venkatram; West: Dinesh Nanavati (in-charge), Padmakar Shivalkar, Narayan Satham; Central: Kailash Ghattani (in-charge), Parthasarathy Sharma, Sashikant Khandkar.

Overall consultants: Batting: Sunil Gavaskar, Dilip Vengsarkar, G.R. Vishwanath, Chandu Borde, and Mohinder Amarnath. Bowling (pace): Kapil Dev, Madan Lal. Bowling (spin): E.A.S. Prasanna, Padmakar Shivalkar, Laxman Sivaramakrishnan. Wicket-keeping: Syed Kirmani, Kiran More.
