Clarification by Home Guards

S. Ramakrishnan, Director-General of Home Guards and Civil Defence, writes:

The news item titled "Sacked DDA Chief arrested'' in your edition dated April 4 mentions one Dharam Bir Khattar who is also alleged to be involved in the DDA scam case and whose photograph in Home Guard uniform has appeared in certain dailies. He is described as an Honorary Warden of his area.

I would like to clarify that Dharam Bir Khattar who was working as an Honorary District Commandant in our organisation was discharged on 03-08-2001 and has no connection whatsoever with the organisation now.
