INSAT-3A launch today

By R.K. Radhakrishnan

CHENNAI APRIL 9. The biggest and most expensive Indian satellite so far, INSAT-3A, will be launched from the French Guyanese space centre, Kourou, tomorrow. An Ariane-5G rocket was to have placed two satellites, including the INSAT-3A, in a geo-stationary transfer orbit early today. But the countdown was discontinued after officials of the Indian Space Research Organisation found ``a small anomaly'' in the omni-directional antenna.
