New MAPS Director

CHENNAI March 31. T. S. Rajendran, Chief Superintendent (Deputy Plant Manager), has taken over as the new Station Director, Madras Atomic Power Station, Kalpakkam. He succeeds K. Hariharan, who retired today.

Mr. Rajendran, who joined the Power Projects Engineering Division (now Nuclear Power Corporation) in 1969, has contributed significantly to the recent MAPS-2 coolant channel replacement programme.

He had undergone the Senior Nuclear Plant Management Training Programme at Ontario Hydro, Canada, and had represented MAPS at the World Association of Nuclear Operators Plant Managers Meeting.
