Peace rally condemns US attack on Iraq

By Our Staff Reporter

CUDDAPAH March 31. Leaders of all political parties, Muslim religious heads and the district peace committee and public organisations on Monday unequivocally condemned the US for its `unjust' war on Iraq. They took out a massive rally from Zion College to Kalakshetram, where a meeting was held to denounce the US aggression ignoring the advice of the United Nations and Security Council member-nations. They called upon people to decry the unilateral action of the capitalist nations. They wondered who empowered the US to manufacture and possess chemical weapons, while dictating terms to other countries. They decried the US President, George W. Bush, and the British Prime Minister, Tony Blair, for indiscriminately attacking civilian areas, leaving scores of children injured.
