LDF march passes off peacefully

PALAKKAD MARCH 31. The Opposition LDF's police station march in protest against the alleged police lathicharge on CPI(M) leaders passed off peacefully here today.

According to the LDF, the CPI(M) leaders, T. Sivadasa Menon, N.N. Krishnadas, MP, and S. Ajayakumar, MP, were lathicharged by the police during the party's SP office march on March 17.

The march in front of the Town police station was inaugurated by the CPI(M) State secretariat member, M. Chandran. The CPI leader and former Minister, K.E. Ismail, and others spoke.
