Housemaid kidnaps one-month-old child

CHENNAI DEC. 17 . Police are on the lookout for a `conwoman' who kidnapped a one-month-old infant from a junior artist's house at Virugambakkam on December 10. According to the police, the middle-aged housemaid was engaged by Venkatesh to assist his wife, Rajeswari, who had delivered recently. The housemaid, who claimed her name was Chandra, reportedly spiked tea with sleeping pills and gave it to Rajeswari.

The police have offered a prize for any information leading to the arrest of Chandra. Information can be given at 98400 80099 and 376 4107.
