Kerala-Thiruvananthapuram
By Our Special Correspondent
Mr Thomas, while addressing a press conference here, said his party had not decided on unity moves and nor had it authorised any leader to take the initiative in this direction. He said that under the current situation, unity of the Kerala Congress factions was practically impossible on various grounds, including ideological. The various Kerala Congresses were spread over three different fronts and the ideological differences could not be resolved. He said the party was also opposed to the unity moves on the basis of its past experience. He refused to reply to questions on the statements made by Mr Nellore. He said that the KC(M) did not want to comment on these statements as it did not want to quarrel with a coalition partner.
