Revised list of GP reservations announced

MADIKERI Dec. 11 . The revised list of reservation of the posts of president and vice-president of the 40 gram panchayats in Somwarpet taluk of Kodagu District, for the second term, was decided here on Tuesday in the presence of the Deputy Commissioner, an official release said on Wednesday.

Reservation of the 41 gram panchayats in Somwarpet taluk was announced in August last and notified on September 1, 2002. But the list had to be revised owing to the declaration of Kushalnagar Gram Panchayat by the Government as a town panchayat recently.

The reservations are as follows: Kodlipet GP - president, SC, and vice-president, BCM "A"; Byadagotta GP - BCM "A" (woman) and general; Besur GP - BCM "B" and SC; Handli GP - BCM "A" and general (woman); Shanivarasante GP - SC (woman) and BCM "B"; Dundalli GP - general and ST; Nidta GP - BCM "A" and BCM "B" (woman); Alur GP - general and BCM "A"; Gowdalli GP - SC and general; Doddamalte GP - general and SC (woman); Shantalli GP - general and BCM "A" (woman); Tolur-Shettalli GP - general and BCM "A" (woman); Bettadalli GP - BCM "A" (woman) and general; Hangal GP - general (woman) and general; Chowdlu GP - general (woman) and general; Belur GP - general and general (woman); Kirgandur GP - SC and BCM "A"; Igoor GP - general and BCM "A" (woman); Nerugalale GP - general and general (woman); Ganagur GP - ST and BCM "A"; Nellihudikeri GP - general (woman) and general; Valnur-Tyagathur GP - general and general (woman); Nanjarayapatna GP - general and ST (woman); Guddehosur GP - BCM "A" and SC; Kudige GP - general and general (woman); Kudumangalur GP - ST (woman) and SC; Mullusoge GP - BCM "A" and general (woman); Hebbale GP - general (woman) and general; Torenur GP - BCM "A" and SC (woman); Shirangala GP - BCM "A" and general; Chettalli GP - general (woman) and general; Kedakkal GP - BCM "B" and SC (woman); Kodagaralli GP - BCM "A" (woman) and general; Kambibane GP - SC and BCM "A"; 7th Hoskote GP - SC (woman) and general; Nakoor-Shirangala GP - general and BCM "A" (woman); Sunticoppa GP - BCM "A" (woman) and general; Hardur GP - BCM "B" (woman) and SC; Madapura GP - general (woman) and BCM "B"; and Garwale GP - SC (woman) and BCM "A".
