Without going into much details about the plan, the president broadly indicated that as per the Rs. 1.5 lakh policy, drawn in association with the United India Assurance company, the victims would be reimbursed upto Rs.50,000 in case of hospitalisation under a Mediclaim scheme. In case the covered person was incapacitated by injury or accident, he would be given an invalidity assurance. The AIFF will be paying the premiums and the deal with the insurer will formalised on Monday. The AIFF secretary Alberto Colaco, also present at the press meet, said that a random dope test of the players is likely to start from the second phase of the tournament.
