World junior tourney today

By Rakesh Rao

PANAJI DEC. 8. Expectations of an Indian domination are running high on the eve of the World junior chess championship. As Viswanathan Anand and K. Sasikiran have provided some great moments of joy this year, the ever-eager `teenage-brigade', too, has done its job rather admirably.

Over the next 12 days at the picturesque Cidade de Goa, a beach resort off Panaji, these players have a big opportunity to display their skills.

In the boys' section, this will surely be the host's best chance to reclaim the title.
