A voice for justice, says Vaiko

NAGAPATTINAM Dec. 5. The MDMK and DMK MPs might have raised their voice unitedly in Parliament against `misuse' of the Prevention of Terrorist Act, to fight for justice, the MDMK general secretary, Vaiko, told reporters here today.To a query on the MDMK and DMK MPs registering their protest in Parliament over misuse of POTA, Mr. Vaiko, who was brought to the CJM court here in connection with an election clash case registered in 1983, said he had not received the details of the Parliament proceedings.

Asked whether there was any political significance in the MPs coming together on the issue, he said ``they might have raised their voice to fight for justice.''

On the move for partial privatisation of the transport sector, he said it would render thousands of employees jobless at a time when there was no employment generation.

Meanwhile, the MDMK presidium chairman, L. Ganesan, told reporters that the party district secretaries meet scheduled for December 10 in Chennai would be held on December 14.
