Pointing to the ``dharna'' of the Congress and other ``pseudo-secular'' parties in front of Parliament in New Delhi on the 10th anniversary of the Babri mosque demolition, Mr. Naidu said that while the Godhra carnage took place just eight months ago, Ayodhya incident happened 10 years ago and there was no loss of life there unlike in Godhra. ``The Congress still insists that we should not remember Godhra while they can remember Ayodhya year after year. What is the rationale behind this,'' he asked. He was talking to mediapersons here, while campaigning for the party for the Gujarat assembly elections. Mr. Naidu reiterated that it was impossible for his party to ``forget and forgive Godhra.'' Accusing the Congress of trying to ``protect'' the perpetrators of the carnage, he alleged that the ``Congress hand in Godhra is clearly visible.'' Claiming that the BJP Government in Gujarat had taken effective steps to arrest the guilty behind the train carnage and to bring the post-Godhra riots under control quickly, he praised Narendra Modi as the most ``able, committed and determined'' Chief Minister under whose leadership Gujarat was sure to march on the path of development. Mr. Naidu said the Congress was behind the creation of the Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front in Kashmir, Bhindranwale in Punjab and even the Bodo and ULFA terrorist groups in Assam. It was during the ``Congress regime that LTTE was encouraged in Tamil Nadu'' and it sent the Indian Peace Keeping Force to Sri Lanka causing further bitterness. About Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, Mr. Naidu said while Nehru ``messed up'' the Kashmir issue and handed over one-third of the State to Pakistan, the Sardar was successful in unifying Junagadh and Hyderabad with India.
