RCC doctor resigns

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM DEC. 5. V.P. Gangadharan, Head of the Department of Oncology, Regional Cancer Centre (RCC) here, has asked the authorities concerned to relieve him of his duties from the institute with effect from January 1, 2003.

The decision to leave the RCC for good was purely personal, said Dr. Gangadharan, when contacted over telephone late tonight. However, there was reason to believe that his decision was taken in the wake of the extension of term granted by the State Government to M. Krishna Nair, Director, RCC, for yet another year.
