HYDERABAD Dec. 5. Id-ul-Fitr will be celebrated in the State on Firday. The moon was sighted clearly on Thursday evening. The Ruat-e-Hilal Committee, president, Moulana Mufti Azeemuddin, announced sighting of the moon.

The Governor, C. Rangarajan, the Chief Minister, N. Chandrababu Naidu, State BJP president, Ch. Ramachandra Reddy, and the APCC president M. Satyanarayana Rao have greeted Muslims on the happy and solemn occasion of Id-ul- Fitr.

In a message issued on the eve of Id, Dr.Rangarajan called upon people to ''join and work together in a spirit of universal brotherhood. Let peace and prosperity prevail everywhere.''

The Chief Minister said Rmazan stands as a unique symbol of self-purification and amity.

Mr .Ramachandra Reddy hoped that peace and progress would prevail in the country which is known for its tolerance of all religions.

Mr. Satyarayana Rao while wishing a happy Ramzan said he would pray for peaceful and harmonious life of Muslim brethren.
