Ganesan, Gupta assume charge of KIOCL posts

BANGALORE DEC. 5. P.Ganesan has assumed charge as Chairman-cum-Managing Director, Kudremukh Iron Ore Company Limited (KIOCL).

Prior to this appointment, Mr. Ganesan was Executive Director In-charge (Commercial) of the Steel Authority of India Limited (SAIL) at New Delhi.

Fifty-four-year-old Mr. Ganesan hails from Kerala.

A Bachelor of Science from Kerala University, he took his Masters degree in Arts (Public Administration) from Madras University, and did his postgraduate diploma in Business Management from Bombay University.

He joined Steel Authority of India Limited as a management trainee.

In his 32 years of service, Mr. Ganesan worked in various capacities and rose to the level of Executive Director (Commercial).

During his tenure, Mr. Ganesan has been exposed to various facets of marketing and advanced management programmes in India and abroad.

Financial Director

KIOCL also has a new Financial Director with R.K.Gupta assuming charge as Director (Finance) at its corporate office in Bangalore.

Mr. Gupta was previously the Executive Director (Finance and Accounts) of SAIL at New Delhi.

Fifty-eight-year old Mr. Gupta, is an electrical engineering graduate from BITS, Pilani. He is a member of the Institute of Cost and Works Accountants of India.

In his 36-year career, Mr. Gupta served in various capacities in SAIL.

He joined the Alloy Steel Plant, Durgapur, as a graduate engineer in 1966 and worked for 14 years in the Electrical Maintenance Division.

In 1982, he was posted to the Finance Department of SAIL corporate office, New Delhi.
