Tajik Defence team visits BEML

BANGALORE DEC. 5. A high-level military team from Tajikistan, led by its Deputy Minister of Defence, L.M.Faiziev, visited the Bharat Earth Movers Limited (BEML) on Wednesday.

The team was received by the BEML Chairman and Managing Director, V.R.S.Natarajan.

The team members were shown the facilities at the Bangalore unit of the public sector undertaking.

The team was said to have been impressed by the infrastructure for the manufacture and supply of diversified Defence equipment for the Army and the Air Force.

Later, the visiting officers held wide-ranging discussions with the management.

In view of the large construction activities taken up in Tajikistan, the team expressed keen interest in BEML's infrastructure equipment developed recently.

The team members hoped to source world-class equipment from India in preference to developed countries.
