Marginal rise in forex reserves
MUMBAI, FEB. 24. Foreign currency reserves have risen by $10
million in the week ended February 16 to $41.69 billion.
Foreign currency reserves had swelled in the last three weeks
following continued institutional inflows and remittances from
abroad by $1.21 billion, according to the Reserve Bank of India's
weekly statistical supplement issued here today.
Foreign currency assets grew by $17 million during the week to
$38.94 billion. Reserves have increased to $41.69 billion from
$34.73 billion on November 11 last. Special drawing rights
declined by $7 million at $1 million while gold reserves were
unchanged at $2.75 billion.
