Two killed in road accident

BANGALORE MAY 17. Two persons were killed and at least 25 injured when a Tamil Nadu State Transport Corporation bus in which they were travelling rammed into a tree on the outskirts of Bangarpet in Kolar District on Saturday.

According to reports, the bus, which was proceeding to Bangalore from Kanchipuram, hit the tree near Thimmapura Gate at 1.30 a.m. after one of its tyres burst. The bus driver, Pattabi, and a passenger, Balraj of Tumkur District, died on the way to hospital.
