``Mr. Mallya has my support and blessings,'' Mr. Hegde said in a fax message sent from Cromwell Hospital in London, where he has been undergoing treatment for the past few weeks. However, Mr. Hegde made it clear to Mr. Mallya that he would not accept any position in the new set-up of the party. Mr. Mallya approached the former Prime Minister, Chandra Shekhar, and Opposition party leaders. Mr. Hegde hoped that leaders such as S.R. Bommai, C. Byre Gowda, M.P. Prakash, Ramesh Jigajinagi, B. Somashekar, and others would agree to cooperate. "I am very unhappy over the developments in my party,'' Mr. Hegde said.
