Another baby at 'Amma' cradle

By Our Staff Reporter

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM Feb. 11. The electronic cradle, `Amma', set up by the Kerala State Child Welfare Council on its premises for collecting abandoned infants, received a baby boy at about 1-55 p.m. on Tuesday.

The baby, not more than four days old, weighs 2.2 kg and was pronounced healthy by doctors. He is now being cared for at the council's foundling home.

This is the fifth baby that the cradle received, ever since it was set up in November second week. The first baby, a girl, later named Nithya, was the first one to be received by the cradle on November 27.
