CM to campaign for 5 days

CHENNAI FEB. 11. The Chief Minister, Jayalalithaa, will campaign for five days at Sattankulam beginning February 17. As per the programme released by the AIADMK office, Ms. Jayalalithaa would start the electioneering from Azhagapuram on February 17, from Rajapati Vilakku on February 18 and from Athikkaadu the next day. After a rest day on February 20, the Chief Minister would start from Pannamparai on February 21 and from Kalvai the next day.

Meanwhile, the Chief Electoral Officer has released the final list of candidates in the fray for the byelection. They are: A. Mahendran (Congress), L. Neelamegavarnam (AIADMK), S. Sundarapandian (Janata Dal-United), K. Padmarajan, Jaffer Ali, Noor Mohammed, M.Z. Rafeek, J. Mohanraj, D. Benjamin, P. Gladson, Silambu S. Suresh, R. Kumaran, Samuel Raj, G. Saravanan, M. Pandi, S. Sivaselvakumar, S. Sudalai, P. Anthony Raj, Kalandhai P. Chandrasekaran, P. Ramakrishnan, O. Alagamuthu, Sam Sunder Singh, Chitrai Paulraj, M. Parthiban, N. Muthuramalingam (all independents).
