The dissatisfaction has been reflected in the form of resolutions passed by the various college units of the KSU, with the Thiruvananthapuram Law College unit taking the lead. According to KSU activists, the Law College unit's resolution criticising the party leadership attitude towards the KSU represented a trend. The activists, mainly those belonging to the `fourth group' in the Congress, also protested against the decision to take action against a section which had made an open demand for an early revamp at the Kochi convention. The `fourth group' has also come out against the KPCC decision to set up a sub-committee to inquire into the Kochi incident. In a statement here, Mathew Kuzhalnadan, leader of the `fourth group' in the KSU, said that even though the KPCC had the powers to appoint a sub-committee to inquire into the incident, its decision to exclude the KSU president could not be justified. This decision posed a question mark on the independent nature of the KSU and was reflective of the party leadership's attitude towards the organisation, he added.
