Mr. Ravi has been holding consultations with a host of leaders from the State, including the Chief Minister, S.M.Krishna, and the KPCC chief, Allum Veerabhadrappa, and several ministers. Mr. Veerabhadrappa took up the job after V.S.Kaujalgi resigned following a corruption charge. A year-and-a-half after that, Mr. Veerabhadrappa wants to relinquish the job and rejoin the Ministry. According to AICC sources, the KPCC chief has been requesting the High Command to find a replacement for him for the last six months.
