CGICL pact with Mitsui Sumitomo

CHENNAI: Cholamandalam General Insurance Company (CGICL) is entering into a tie-up with Mitsui Sumitomo Insurance Company. The Murugappa group will have a stake of 74 per cent and Mitsui Sumitomo 26 per cent in the new joint venture, Cholamandalam MS General Insurance. The new venture is expected to become operational on getting the approval of the Insurance Regulatory and Development Authority and the boards of the two companies, according to a release.
