Load shedding in four districts

By Our Staff Reporter

BANGALORE Jan. 6. There will be unscheduled load shedding on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday in Bangalore Rural, Mysore, Shimoga, and Dakshina Kannada districts as line termination work will be taken up at 400 kV Talaguppa Station, according to a pressnote from the KPTCL.

During the execution of the work, two 220 kV lines between Sharavathy Generating Station (SGS) and Shimoga would not be available.

This would affect flow from SGS to southern parts of Karnataka and result in a loss of 400 MW.

So, there would be restricted consumption for consumers of that area, especially during peak hours.

The cuts would last for about 45 minutes, the release added.
