This Day That Age
Mr. V. K. Krishna Menon arrived in Delhi for consultations with the Prime Minister, and it was speculated that India might soon renew her efforts in the U.N. to solve the Korean problem. Mr. Menon was likely to explain to Mr. Jawaharlal Nehru why the Soviet Union had suddenly rejected the Indian resolution in the United Nations. Speculation was rife in New Delhi that after his discussions with the Prime Minister, Mr. Menon might go to Peking to ascertain at first-hand what the Chinese Government's real objections to the Indian resolution were. Mr. Menon was likely to be in India for ten days.
