U.S. and the U.N.

Sir, — The U.S. is beating the war drums under the pretext that Iraq is in possession of weapons of mass destruction. No country can have any kind of monopoly over nuclear weapons and no country need to have war weapons of any nature as we have the U.N. with us. The preamble of the U.N. is self-explanatory as to the code and conduct of the countries that are its members. As against such a powerful establishment, exchange of hot words is in bad taste.
