Bond back for fifth one-dayer

Wellington Jan. 6. Pace bowling spearhead Shane Bond, who missed the last three ODIs due to a side strain, is back in the New Zealand side for the fifth one-dayer against India on Wednesday, at the expense of out-of-form middle-order batsman Craig McMillan.

``Bond has been cleared by the medical panel,'' said Sir Richard Hadlee, chairman of selectors. He also revealed that world class all-rounder Chris Cairns, would be considered for selection for the final two ODIs, at Auckland and Hamilton.

Meanwhile, Indian offie Harbhajan Singh was struck a painful blow on his right foot during the practice session here on Monday. The early indications were that the injury was not of a serious nature. — Our Special Correspondent
